Ardenne Rally Festival Let the show begin!

After being the epicentre of the South Belgian Rally for several years, the small village of Vresse-sur-Semois is turning into a fantastic time machine today, to the delight of many rally fans. By creating the Ardenne Rally Festival, following in the footsteps of the Eifel Rallye Festival or the Alsace Rallye Festival, organizer DG Sport had the ambition to please owners, drivers, co-drivers and of course enthusiasts of iconic rally cars. Mission accomplished!

From this Thursday, very melodious engine sounds will be heard in rural Vresse-sur-Semois. That is not the first time, but anyone who pays close attention and looks carefully will notice that the cars present each have a story to tell. Even better: these cars wrote history! Whether they are classified as 'original', 'replica' or 'historic', these cars let us revisit the most beautiful chapters from the great history book of rallying!

From the 1967 Mini Cooper to the 1985 Renault 5 GT Turbo, you will be able to admire two very important decades of rallying. And for its premiere in organizing this kind of demo event, without any form of competition, DG Sport can immediately offer an incredible entry list! Will drive across the starting podium in Vresse-sur-Semois and can be admired on the demo stages: Alpine A110, Ford Escort Mk1 and Mk2, Lancia Stratos, Porsche 911, Audi Quattro and Sport Quattro, Renault 5 Turbo and Maxi Turbo, Lancia Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2, Toyota Celica GT-Four, Ford Escort Cosworth, Subaru Impreza 555, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Peugeot 306 Maxi, Skoda Fabia WRC, etc. A still incomplete, but already very attractive list! Among the drivers, the guests of honour include names such as Marc Duez, Olivier and Emile Breittmayer, Philippe Camandona, Eric Cunin and co.

And all those cars will be driving too! After the shakedown on Thursday evening, they can be admired three times on Friday at the demo stages of Vresse-sur-Semois – starting just behind the podium! – and Orchimont, while on Saturday the stages of Pussemange, Gros-Fays and Bellefontaine, all 'classics’ in the Semois region, will be completed twice. In the meantime, entertainment in the centre of Vresse-sur-Semois goes on non-stop…

Although the Ardenne Rally Festival is not a competition, the organization is no different than a traditional rally. This means that safety is of great importance on all demo stages. The public will therefore have to respect all the usual instructions, to fully enjoy the event!
