{"id":6594,"date":"2020-08-27T15:27:32","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T13:27:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dgsportnewwebseite.eu\/francorchampsrallylegend\/concurrent\/engagement\/"},"modified":"2026-04-09T15:48:59","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T13:48:59","slug":"engagement","status":"publish","type":"competitors","link":"https:\/\/ardennerallyfestival.be\/en\/concurrent\/engagement\/","title":{"rendered":"Entry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Request for eligibility <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to respect the philosophy of the Ardenne Rally Festival, which consists of presenting cars that have marked the history of rallies, we ask you to submit a request for the eligibility of your vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are the criteria for accepting or rejecting your car?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The decoration of the car is a very important element, because if it is decorated with personal sponsors who have nothing to do with the history of the car, it will be refused straight away.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The mechanical elements are also important, because if you enter a Ford Escort with a V8, it won&#8217;t be accepted&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will be more conciliatory when it comes to safety features, which may be period ones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nevertheless, the organisers reserve the right to accept cars that are not totally in keeping with the spirit of the event but which might be of interest to spectators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of entrants will be limited to 150, and applications for eligibility will be dealt with in the order in which they are received by a jury made up of members of the Slowly Sideways Benelux organising committee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants will be notified of the status of their application within 20 days after registration at the latest. Crews who are selected will receive an email with the transfer notice. The entry will be validated on receipt of payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We advise you to be as precise as possible in the description of the proposed vehicle, two photos of the vehicle are compulsory as well as a period photo of the model vehicle. The external appearance of the vehicle must be in keeping with its original configuration, particularly as regards decoration and stickers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Registrations close on May 18th 2026 at 12 noon.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-f918a0e53dd03374dc58991efbd27c05\"><strong>Licences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each crew member must hold a licence or demo pass:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Either they hold any valid national pilot licence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are affiliated to a foreign federation, you must apply for an exit permit (permanent or temporary).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Or they must apply for a demo pass from the RACB via the link\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/racb.com\/obtenir_sa_licence-792.html\">https:\/\/racb.com\/obtenir_sa_licence-792.html<\/a>. Click on\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Licence pilote nationale\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0then\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0One Event Licence Pilotes et Copilotes\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0and finally\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0One Event Rally Demo Pass\u00a0\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Good to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants do not need to see a doctor or cardiologist; this is a simple application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A one-event demo pass costs \u20ac75.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drivers must hold a valid civilian driving licence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With regard to age, persons who do not hold a driving licence are not permitted to drive.
