Ardenne Rally Festival Registrations for the 1st Ardenne Rally Festival are open

Since the announcement that from Thursday, May 2nd to Saturday, May 4th 2024 DG Sport will organize the first Ardenne Rally Festival in and around Vresse-sur-Semois, plenty has been said and written about the event. After all, many enthusiasts are eager to admire the cars that have written rally history. The entry list for the 1st Ardenne Rally Festival is starting to take shape, for registrations on the official website www.ardennerallyfestival.be are now open.

“Many participants in our rallies were asking for an event without any form of competition, a place where passion and a friendly atmosphere between participants and spectators come first”, says Christian Jupsin on behalf of DG Sport. “That is why we decided to organize the Ardenne Rally Festival, inspired by what Richard Klein and the Slowly Sideways teams have created in the Eifel. The starting point will be the same: presenting cars which have written rally history.”

This means that participation in the Ardenne Rally Festival is primarily determined by whether the vehicle is eligible for the event or not. The main criteria are the livery, which must be identical to the original, and the mechanical parts, which must provide a link with the original model. In other words: personal or contemporary sponsors are not allowed, nor is replacing a four-cylinder engine with a V8...

On the other hand, the organizers will be lenient when it comes to the safety elements, which may be identical to the original. They also reserve the right to admit cars that may not entirely match the event’s spirit, but could still create great interest among spectators.

“The number of cars is limited to 150”, Christian Jupsin continues. “The applications will be processed in order of submission, by a jury of members of Slowly Sideways Benelux. All candidates, whether selected or not, will be kept informed of the status of their application. The registration will be validated upon receipt of payment.”

So what are you waiting for? DG Sport will keep fans informed of the evolution of the entry list for the 1st Ardenne Rally Festival, to create even more interest for the event. The countdown has begun…
